Description

This event is an introduction to DataCite for organisations and institutions in the UK. We will explain what DataCite is, what it does and how you can work with us in the UK to assign DataCite DOIs to your research data, making it more easily citable and discoverable. This workshop is aimed at those from central university services that are responsible for research data management at the institution.

The workshop will be lead by the British Library, who provide DataCite services in the UK, and hosted by the University of Glasgow who are signed up to use the service. We will be joined by others who are already using DataCite, including the University of Leeds who will be our case study for the day.

There will also be a hands-on demonstration of assigning DOIs in the afternoon. If possible, please bring along a laptop that will be able to access the wifi so you can try it for yourself.
